After much trawling, you soon realise that moz.com is one of the key sites for SEO. Their toolbar is a great way to understand the search engine rankings, and their website is a key into the whole world of SEO.

For a good overview of how your site is currently doing WooRank pulls all the information into one place for you. As does Nibbler.

Citations

GetListed will in the UK / US, check your NAP (name, address, phone) across all the standard sites like yelp.com etc. to ensure you are sending out a consistent message. Moz has a great pic showing how all the sites are interrelated for the UK.

Backlinks

OpenLinkProfiler can dig up who’s linking to your site and gives an idea of whether it’s a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ link.
